I'm an architect, and I chose these fires the way I would specify a piece for a client's home: by proportion, stability and material first.
The dome is formed in steel and the burner is 304 stainless steel, built to hold its shape under heat. Every model is tested by SGS and certified to EN 16647, the European standard for ethanol fireplaces.
Each fire is inspected before it leaves our our workshop and the burner can be replaced, so the piece stays with you for years.
Every ARDĒO fire comes with a 2-year warranty, in addition to your statutory rights under UK law.
Our warranty covers: manufacturing defects in the dome, base and burner, faulty welds or finishes, and any part that arrives damaged.
It does not cover: natural heat tint on the steel near the flame, damage from fuels other than bioethanol, or outdoor weather exposure.

What makes an ARDĒO fire
Clean flame
Bioethanol is a plant-based fuel that burns into heat, water vapour and nothing you can see. No smoke, no ash, no soot on your walls, no smell in your sofa the next morning.
That means no chimney sweep and no cleaning ritual. When the evening is over, you slide the lid across and the fire is out.
Built for the flame
The dome is formed in steel and the burner is made of 304 stainless steel, the grade used in professional kitchens, chosen because it holds its shape under repeated heat and does not rust.
Every ARDĒO fire is tested by SGS and certified to EN 16647, the European standard written specifically for decorative ethanol fireplaces. It covers stability, surface temperatures and burner safety, so you are not taking our word for it.
No works, no instalation
A fireplace without a flue, a builder or a single hole in the wall. Your ARDĒO arrives in a box, assembles in minutes and stands on its own, like a lamp or an armchair.
Because nothing is fixed to the property, it is furniture, not a renovation. It works in a rented flat today and moves with you to the next home.
No, bioethanol is not included.
We recommend to use only bioethanol made for fireplaces, 96%+ purity. Never use any other fuel and never add anything to the burner.
It's available in supermarkets, hardware stores, and garden centres.
No smoke, ash or soot. Bioethanol burns into heat, water vapour and a small amount of CO2.
You may notice a faint scent for a few seconds when lighting or extinguishing.
The flame will last 3 to 5 hours per refill, depending on the burner opening. The tank holds 1.5 litres. With a lower flame, the burn time is longer.
Yes, on a terrace or balcony in calm weather.
Bring it inside or cover it afterwards, as it should not be left out in the rain.
Yes, in a normally ventilated room. Like a candle or gas hob, it uses oxygen, so avoid very small closed rooms and open a window now and then during long burns.
